Our client is a biotechnology company. They have asked us to assist them in a search for a Director, Market Research.  

Major tasks and responsibilities include:
  • Executes market research projects, manages agency partners, and leads cross functional teams.
  • Provides deep customer insights and leverages market research to drive business success.
  • Leverages secondary data, such as prescription, patient level, sales, and payer data to include a wide array of organizations.
  • Selects, manages, and develops market research agencies to become trusted business partners, provides exceptional insights, and communicates clear and cogent stories that drive business value.
  • Owns work product quality, expected timelines, and budgets.
  • Develops communication plans to update key stakeholders on commercial analytics strategy and leads conversations with executives to effectively integrate and communicate analysis findings.
  • Applies cutting edge market research tools and techniques to positively influence business decision making and brand performance.
  • Supervises staff, organizes and prioritizes work, writes and conducts performance reviews, trains, develops, and manages work performance.
  • Integrates primary and secondary data into synthesized information and insights.
  • Communicates goals clearly to employees to ensure understanding and success in achieving them.
  • Motivates and inspires employees to do their best work through coaching.
  • Collaborates effectively with marketing and sales partners.
  • Upholds company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
  • Supports and complies with the company’s quality management system policies and procedures.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
 
We seek candidates with the following qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Data, Science, Business, or field as outlined in the essential duties is required. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Requires 10+ years of work experience in business analytics, and 5+ years of team management experience.
  • Must have the demonstrated ability to create effective plans and influence C-suite on key decisions.
  • Strong presentation skills to take sophisticated analysis and apply a business context for non-analytical associates is required.
  • A deep understanding of both qualitative and quantitative market research tools and techniques is required.
  • Must have the ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Requires the ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.
  • Must be able to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and perform typing for approximately 80% of a typical working day.
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to travel 20% of working time away from a work location, including overnight and weekend travel is required.
